Measure the recurrence—not just the clean-up.
A contained public-realm approach to documenting, addressing and rechecking postering hotspots.
Request a detailed briefWhat needs to be understood?
Unauthorized postering can accumulate across streetscape assets. A one-time cleanup may improve appearance briefly without showing which locations recur or what ongoing response would cost.
What is being proposed?
Document an initial set of poles in a limited corridor. Where legally authorized, remove designated material under an agreed operating standard and return on a consistent schedule to observe recurrence.
What is inside the test?
Defined corridor, permitted assets only, specific treatment and reporting schedule. No removal, installation, or other activity on public infrastructure without the required owner authorization.
How would we know?
Baseline incidence, removal effort, approved treatment quality, hotspot concentration, recurrence interval, labour and materials per pole.
What would the result decide?
Is a monitored maintenance cycle more useful than ad hoc treatment? If so, on which corridors and under what operating model?
The question, made measurable.
Illustrative evaluation structure. Actual implementation, criteria and results require the institution’s review and authority.
All field activities must be expressly authorized by the responsible asset owner. The illustration is not evidence of completed work.
